My Birthday is in 7 days

Good Evening. Its almost my birthday. If you have met me in real life ever, I would have reminded you of that fact about 10 times this week. I have a child like love of birthdays even though I am getting to the age where maybe I shouldn't. Anyways, how many times have you seen the plaid shirt commericals for Old Navy? So many you want to throw something and break your tv but if you did you couldn't watch such treasures as Glee. Tis the season for DVR.

Happy Day after Turkey day!

Also known as Steph never steps foot in a store day...I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I also hope all of you are full of yummy goodness. I had a wonderful time hanging out with the in laws, cooking, hanging out with the kids (Claire fell asleep at 7:15 woohoo). We also watched Monsters vs Aliens while a certain husband of mine was not hurting himself playing football. All was good. We are dog sitting a little friend of ours named David. He is just a little ray of sunshine and probably 3 lbs. Its been fun.

Chillaxin is not a word

No matter how many people try to say it or use it. Seriously one more person who feels the need to use that word will get a lecture about how chillaxin is some stupid hybred of other slag words that went out of fashion so long ago that they are not even retro.

Side note: May get to eat crabs tonight cause its our anniversary. If I do, I am going to be a very happy girl.

Wow

I heard that GI Joe was bad. I was hoping it was "so bad its good bad" but alas, it is just bad. I mean really, come on now you just used the word weaponize just to use it? Really?

Anyways, went to a little happy hour with some friends tonight Very Fun. This is after making some Goolash (sp?) for the family and spending a lot of the day with a sick big girl. It was a well deserved break.

Did anyone else think that last nights Glee was AWESOME?

Hola

Want to know how the party went? It was awesome. We swapped some clothes, then stayed up and talked till an obscene hour. The only thing missing was a certain friend who came last time and was our "pregnant salsa queen". I am now in love with Barefoot's Moscato Spamante and Peach Belini's. Then my wonderful husband disn't bring the kids home until noon Saturday. AWESOME. Then I got what is refered to as a killer headache. I dealt while Chris went to some basketball game. He had a blast, which is so great. He definatly came back with some funny stories. Sunday we went to the Outback for my MIL's birthday (Hi Sue). I had my yearly bloomin onion, sooooo good. I'm glad to see this blog has gone the way of my facebook status (primarly about food). The headache is at kind of a dull ache (on day three) so that's fun (NOT). Ohh, I am so going to bed early. Night all.

GLEE!

After a long day of work, errands, cleaning, skipping the gym and making some snacks for tomorrow now I am finally vegging. I convinced Chris that we needed to watch Glee. .................sorry, they were just showing the preview for Avatar (awesome). How come my teachers didn't ever give us anything fun like be in a wheelchair for three hours a day. Wait....did Artie just say what I think he just said. Excellent. Ok note to self...don't blog while watching a fun show. Here's to a good nights sleep.

Prepping for Party

I am having my semi-annual clothes swap party on Friday and of course this is the week I decided to start going to the gym and make Chris work late. Great planning on my part. So my house is halfway clean, no shopping has been done, but my clothes are ready (honestly that is what is important anyway, kinda why I don't have stuck up friends). The only thing I am worried about is not having enough beverages (and I'm not talking Kool Aid). See this is what happens when you are my friend, you come in to a three kid disaster area (house), but you always have a drink (or seven). Sometimes if you are very special, you get served breakfast. Anyway, I am so glad to be "free" shopping on Friday...hopefully I will find some treasures.

But seriously folks...

We had a really nice today. We went to the benefit for my niece. Great time was had by all. Maybe I'll post the picture of the princess she had painted on the back of her bald head. She is such a silly happy girl.

We just finished going through the pantry and fridges for upcoming menu planning (and the blog is no longer fun). I am excited about the awesome things that I am going to make this week though. I don't care that I am boring.

Now I am going to look through the Target toy catalog that I got in the mail (yet another peak into how dull my life actually is). Maybe I will find something that I can talk chris into getting me for my birthday? Wish me luck.

Guess whose sore today because muscles hurt that she didn't even know she had because she worked out yesterday?

duh...me

What not to do when working out

Start on the prettiest elipitical and set it for "weight loss" and medium speed. Just saying when you haven't worked out ever, you probably won't last...umm 10 minutes before you heart felt like it was going to explode out of you chest. Other than the first 10 minutes...I did enjoy some walking, treadmill and some swimming. I do have a feeling that I am at the certain age where I'd better take some Advil before bed. It was a gorgous elipitical though.

We have trained our kids well

Its Saturday morning and I got out of be at 11. Yup. You read that right. This is what happens when you have "older" kids. My oldest (age 9) knows how to fix breakfast, turn on the TV, Wii, and computer and then they stay busy for 2-3 hours. We only get away with this about 3 times a month, but when the stars align and it happens it is glorious. Oh, but in walking down the hallway we found like 20 empty candy wrappers in their room from this morning. Nice. So to summarize, I let my kids run the house and get into everything for an extra 3 hours of sleep. Awesome. I'll take that mother of the year award now.

I like to take pictures of Stuff

I like to take pictures. I want to make these into black and white canvas prints and hang them on my bedroom wall, but alas this is considered a "non" necessity and I haven't been able to do it yet. So I will post them here and pretend they are on my bedroom wall. Ahh...thats better.

I have decided that I am in need of a massive diet/exercise plan

Can the tite be bigger than the blog? Anyway. I have gained some (ha) weight. I can blame it on the kids (I do, worst mom ever), but the youngest is about to turn 3 so that ship has sailed. There are three of them though. Stupid "your in your 20's you'll bounce right back". Bull. I am fast (faster than I'd like) approaching my not 20's (I have to get used to this, give me a break). So tomorrow the husband and I are checking out a gym. One with a pool so I will be swimming tomorrow and its 44 outside. So that's a plus.

Oh and if I start the "excercise" thing, it was brought to my attention that eating better will have to go hand and hand with it. Eww. I wonder if they will ever make a Dr. Pepper in diet form that doesn't taste like ass?

Question: Will the internet hate me if I don't spell the best or have the best grammer? I am a math person (I always use that excuse) and I use my English major husband to spell things for me.
